I find the current discussion in the open column regarding the need for an in-depth investigation of the reasons for flooding in Rakiraki noteworthy.

I believe taxpayers’ funds spent on such investigations which is sometimes huge is only justified if you are not going to sit and take no action after investigation.

I believe the Nadi case is a classic example of this.

While the investigation may be necessary, I believe action is most important.
