Some of us, particularly those in authority tend to get agitated when queried about matters of national importance.

I believe this was the case on Fiji One news the other night (26/01) when Local Government Minister Praveen Kumar attempted to thwart reporter Shanal Shivan’s question regarding much-needed assistance to the people of Clopcott settlement in Ba.

The struggling residents had been assured proper land lease titles and other development projects back in 2014 but they have yet to see light at the end of the tunnel.

When a clarification was sought from the minister concerned, he evidently got restless and demanded that the reporter “talk sense” to him.

I almost burst out laughing at that response.

Come on, if you can’t take the heat, well I guess you know what to do.

I hope I am talking sense here minister.
