NANDS Pharmacy was established about 40 years ago by Abhay Nand and Nirmala Nand in Nausori Town. Since then the company has grown to be the largest chain of pharmacies in Fiji.
The Nand’s have three children who are all pharmacists graduated out of Australia and are involved in the running of the business.
Nands shopping mall was built in Nabua eight years ago and has become a landmark for the area. The Superdrug Pharmacy is known to be the only pharmacy in Suva that opens seven days until 9pm.
The complex also has three doctors, a dentist, pathology lab, fruit shop, fish shop, video shop, kava shop, a coffee shop, a vegan restaurant, liquor shop and the famous The Hot Bread Kitchen.
Besides these retail outlets we also have Papas Tuition School, universal church, a massage parlour, link technology, habitat design, Merchant Finance, an internet outlet, tripod surveyors and universal agencies.
This has become a one stop shopping area for residents of Nabua and surrounding areas.
Nands family are soon embarking on some new projects and one being the extension to Nands shopping mall with provision for more parking and office space. With the request from the community a Thursday night market will soon be seen in the area too.
The family is very well known in the area of Nabua and assist in many communities and youth — based projects.
With Nabua Police Station and Westpac Bank as neighbours the landmark cannot be missed.
The Nands have a great confidence in Fiji’s economy and can foresee more growth in Nabua area.
