WE want to win this tournament.

Those were the words of Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber as he sets the plan for the national side’s campaign for this weekend’s Hong Kong 7s.

Baber said they wanted to use the support that the team gets in Hong Kong to motivate and lift the players for this weekend.

“Yes Hong Kong is like a home ground for Fiji,” Baber said.

“There is always an expectation when it comes to be in a Fiji shirt in Hong Kong.

“We want to live up to that expectation and we want to win the tournament,” the former Hong Kong 7s team coach said yesterday.

“There is also the feeling you’re playing in your home ground and you want to reciprocate what others have done previously is a major tool for going out there and perform well,” Baber said

The team had two training session yesterday with a afternoon scrimmage session with Scotland.

Baber will use that session to test his players out before he names his 12 players for the tournament.

.Fiji will play Japan, Wales and New Zealand in their pool.
