THE Fiji crowd holds the record of having the most people inside a Super Rugby venue ahead of a kick-off.
This was experienced during last year’s game between the Gallagher Chiefs and the BNZ Crusaders at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
Fortress Information Systems and TicketDirect chief executive officer Matthew Davey said Fiji held the record for people having turned up early before kick-off for the games.
“They actually set a record last year with having the most people inside a Super Rugby venue far ahead of kick-off.
“It was so exciting to be there and we want to see that again this year,” Davey said.
“We have amazing sales so far for the game coming up on Friday night. We have got great numbers and we are seeing similar numbers to what we had last year. We are expecting another amazing crowd on Friday night.”
He said they had sold about 75-85 per cent of tickets for the game.
“There are lots of great tickets left, we have a few left on the grandstands, lots of seats on the embankment for the concrete and on the grass.”
He said the response from members of the public had been fantastic.
Tickets are sold at at the Fiji Sports Council office in Suva or online on www.ticketdirect.com.fj.
