Patients at the Children’s hospital of the Colonial War Memorial Hospital (CWMH) were overjoyed when they were visited by their Investec Super Rugby heroes, the Gallagher Chiefs players.

Children and parents alike could not hold back their bula smiles when some members of the Chiefs outfit visited them yesterday.

Their presence lit up the room and gave some much needed smiles to not only the patients and parents but also to staff members of CWMH.

The expressions on faces of the people said it all, the Chief’s players are here to some it was like seeing a ghost.

To be looking upon some of the best rugby players in the known world standing right there in front of them.

Fans crowded the corridor for a once in a lifetime chance to meet and take photos with their heroes.

For four year-old patient Lorima Vuniwaqa and his mother Marica Vuniwaqa it was a dream comes true for them.

“My son Lorima has always wanted to be a rugby player and to be visited by these Super Rugby players is something he and I will never forget. And this in turn will inspire him to chase his dream to become like them,” Vuniwaqa said.

Chief’s winger James Lowe said it was a unique and cool experience to be able to put a smile on people’s faces.
