A HAVEN of peace and relaxation, Spa InterContinental in Natadola has been awarded the Oceania and South Pacific’s Best Luxury Resort Spa at the annual 2017 World Luxury Spa Awards.
Renowned as the world’s leading awards initiative for luxury spas, the World Luxury Spa Awards are the pinnacle of achievement for luxury spas worldwide.
Spa manager Kalpana Devi said the prestigious award was a testament to the team’s hard work, considering the 2016 Fiji’s Best Luxury Resort Spa Award received last year.
The InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa employee said the property was excited because the award set the benchmark in quality, innovation and service for spas around the globe.
The World Luxury Spa Awards was established as a celebration of ultimate achievement in service excellence and recognition by global spa-goers and industry experts. The awards are presented to luxury spas in 32 different categories on a global, continent, regional and country basis. Spa InterContinental was awarded as South Pacific’s Best Luxury Resort Spa, and is one of a handful of spa resorts that was recognized for the consistency in offering excellent services in immaculate spa surroundings.

Iconic to Spa InterContinental is the traditional Fijian massage which is a 90-minute treatment, Ms Devi added.
The Gala Ceremony for the World Luxury Spa Awards was hosted on July 22, 2017 at the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi in Vietnam.
