Venue’s condition

Conditions at the ANZ Stadium in Suva will be decent for the 2016 Coca-Cola Games this weekend.

The Fiji Meteorological Service is forecasting fine weather in Suva for all three days of competition, with only a few short rain showers expected throughout the weekend.

With track conditions likely to be good, fast times are expected to be recorded.

Extra buses

More buses will be laid on in Suva to cope with the excess demand caused by the Fiji secondary school athletics final this weekend.

“Buses will make supplementary trips to and from the stadium as and when required,” said Parmod Chand, of Fiji Bus Operators Association vice-president.

Chand added that no problems were anticipated with regards to transport and that he expected bus services to run smoothly, as has been the case in previous years.
