Viriviri shows top form

HE’S back Baby!

These were comments made by a rugby commentator as the Fijian speedster Samisoni Viriviri made his return to the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series last week in Paris.

And as he scored his second try in the game against Scotland and his 100th try in the series, Viriviri surely showed that he still has some gas and pace that just needs a little bit more work before Rio.

Fiji led 21-5 in to the breather against Scotland with two tries to France-based Josua Tuisova and a try to Jasa Veremalua.

Viriviri later came in with two tries at the second spell and a try to Kitione Taliga to end the game with a 38-12 win.

Ryan’s message to the team was simple at half-time, “Go out there, go for it and have some fun.”

Commentators kept referring to the Fijian boys saying they played like they were “possessed and they were setting the standard.”

“Ryan is blessed with riches in talent,” a commentator on the game against Scotland said.

Fiji is just aiming for at least a semi-final berth to give them a good standing going into London as they now hunt for the back to back series win for the 2015/16 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.
