Update: 3:18PM VENDORS were in high spirits and hoping for things to turn out well despite the slow start to Suva on Sale yesterday.
The Renwick, Waimanu, Cumming, and Mark Streets in Suva were paraded with stalls selling different sorts of gift and household items.
JK Enterprise salesman Jai Deo Sharan, 45, said they were happy with the outcome and public response despite a slow start to their day.
President of Suva Retailers Association (SRA) and Co-organiser of the event Atish Lala said the event was made possible by the combined efforts of the SRA, Suva City Council (SCC) and the Ministry of Local Government.
“For a Monday it is actually quite good, and given that this week is pay week, yes we are expecting things to get better,” Mr Lala said.
