Insurance foray

A SECOND heavyweight on the South Pacific Stock Exchange has collaborated with an international insurance giant to offer select insurance services through Courts branch outlets around the country.

Vision Investments Ltd is offering insurance services in collaboration with the New India Assurance, which makes it a corporate agent.

Under the arrangement, the company will sell insurance products such as vehicle compulsory third-party insurance, vehicle comprehensive insurance, content insurance and property insurance.

The company says customers will have a real advantage and convenience in buying insurance services through Courts.

“Courts stores are open late hours and on Saturdays and some stores on Sundays, which allows customers to do their insurance business at a time convenient to them,” the company said.

“Customers can walk in any Courts store spread throughout the country and place their policies.”

A key consideration in placing insurance, it said, was the financial stability and standing of the insurance company and its ability and availability of resources to meet large claim payments.

Customers placing insurance through Courts have the assurance and peace of mind that they are dealing with an internationally rated and financially strong insurance company in Fiji.

New India Assurance is offering attractive premium rates and other benefits only on the policies sold through Courts.

The arrangement includes selling of vehicle compulsory third-party insurance and vehicle comprehensive insurance through the company’s trading division — Vision Motors.

The offering of insurance services was effective as of yesterday.
