Upon catching the bus to work the other morning, I thought back to last year at also the same time and month.
What used to take me 20 minutes by bus to work 12 months ago, today, is taking me 45 minutes just because of the increase in the amount of cars on the road.
It has caused a lot of people in my area to grumble and mumble about being late to work, but I think back and now I am experiencing what the people living on the outskirts of Suva face every day has now caught up to us the people living within the city boundary.
Can something be done to improve on this by those that are in control, or is the LTA so cash stricken that they want to keep authorising new cars on the road every day without caring for congestion and pollution, let alone try and widen the roads if they want it their way. Come on let’s think and act now before it’s too late.
