Update: 5:40PM POLICE are still trying to gather more statements regarding an accident which involved a Fiji Rugby Union vehicle last Saturday.

“At the moment we are still trying to determine and are gathering more statements as there are conflicting stories on what happened,” said police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro.

Meanwhile, FRU chief executive John O’Connor said the matter was reported to police and they were waiting on the police report to see their next step.

“There are processes to be followed so it’s always good to wait for all the facts before we see what step to take,” he said.

“We’re also doing our own investigations.”

O’Connor said facts would need to be established first before a decision on what should be done could be taken.

The accident happened in Sigatoka.
