The Ministry of Finance has been renamed to Ministry of Economy was allocated $94.4m. The name changed will be effective from August 1.

Highlights:

* $42.9m to provide funds for the operations of the Fiji Revenue Customs and Authority

* $11.8m for capital expenses including $0.5m for National Tax Information System and $9.4m for establishment and upgrade of offices in Nadi, Nausori and Taveuni

* $8.8m grant to the Fiji Servicemen’s Aftercare Fund

* $13.8m for the Fiji bureau of statistics

* $0.25m for the second round of national consultation for the development plan and its finalisaton

* $0.1m for the construction of facility-funeral rites
