Rugby teams visited by students

Students of Nausori Baptist Christian Academy were yesterday treated to a visit to the two national teams at the Uprising Beach Resort grounds.

Members of the Vodafone Flying Fijians and the Vodafone Fiji 7s squads were at the resort grounds when they were visited by the students.

School principal Malakai Rokoduru said the visit was a privilege they gave to students who scored 89 per cent pass rate in their academic work. With 75 students from early childhood education to Year 13 making the trip, Rokoduru said it was a learning experience for the students.

“Kids have to score 89 per cent and above to be able to be given a privilege like this, so it was nice that Ropate Kauvesi (7s team manager) gave us this opportunity to come here. This is an opportunity of a lifetime for these kids. They were looking forward to the trip from last week,” Rokoduru said.
