Can the Commerce Commission and the Consumer Council of Fiji dig deep and bring about some control on the escalating costs of all second-hand vehicle parts.

This is especially for vehicles. It is shocking that spare part dealers charge so much for used parts.

In many cases I strongly feel the price is doubled or tripled. We do have so many spare part agents operating in Fiji, yet the prices are too high. It makes one wonder about the reasons for the high costs. Some immediate control must be implemented. Second-hand vehicle parts must not be given the value of brand new! Availability and non-availability is a secondary matter.
