Congratulations to the Nadi soccer team officials and all the players for winning another Fiji FACT title by beating arch rivals Suva.

The 3-0 win in penalty shootout is a clear indication of magnificent teamwork. Suffice to say it was a repeat of the 2014 final where both teams played on the same turf and Nadi won.

Perhaps I should mention that Rewa’s Ratu Cakobau Park is a lucky ground for the jetsetters.

All credit goes to the president Navneeda Goundar, team captain Napolioni Qasevakatini and goalkeeper Vereti Dickson for the gallant performance.

In any penalty shootout, one should admit it could be anybody’s game and certainly Nadi could count themselves lucky to come out victors.

In conclusion, I should not forget to thank the former coach’s efforts in moulding the Nadi team over the years. Thus the result is in front of us today. He had dedicated a lot of his valuable time for the team.

Thank you Kamal. Go Nadi, go.
