THE Fiji Latter Day Saints Church College ended its week-long 40th anniversary celebrations on Saturday with a family picnic.
Alumni Ulamila Bale said the occasion allowed her to reconnect with former classmates, teachers and students of the school.
“It has been a great one week and I was so excited to meet students from class that I have not met in a while, teachers that were part of my high school experience and many other students who were part of the school before and after me,” Ms Bale said.
“I was a student at the school from 1996 until 2001 and this week my girls and my family were also part of the experience.
“My husband, although not an alumni, also got to experience the event and this was also an eye-opener for him as he got to experience the bond and how we integrated as a school, community and family.”
College principal Salote Maiwiriwiri said the annivessary also focused on all aspects of a child’s educational development spiritually, academically, physically, socially and emotionally.
