A disabled beggar has been begging for many years in Nadi.

From Nadi Town, he moved to Namaka where he is now. He is seen at MH Namaka every day except Sundays.

It is so sad that a physically and mentally challenged person such as him has to survive on begging.

Only he knows who transports him to his begging destination every day. Only he knows his daily income and expenditure.

I have not seen any other person with such disability begging such as him in this area.

I really feel sorry for him for all the pain he goes through sitting in an unfavourable and uncomfortable condition every day.

It is a pity no one, including the Fiji National Council for Disabled Persons, is freeing him from his mistreatment.

The Social Welfare is also doing nothing about the innocent youth. I don’t think any religion will condone any such treatment.

May I request the concerned authorities and people to find the boy a place which suits his health condition? Find him a place where he can eat and rest.

He is in no condition to be left on the streets waiting for silver coins. Come on guys, the innocent boy needs full-time resting at home.
