Red Hill and Vuda Green won their respective Lautoka Rugby Union Club matches yesterday at Nadovu Park yesterday.

Red Hill defeated KBL Lions in the Premier grade challenge 6-3 with both teams’ points accumulated from penalties alone.

In the Super Premier Division, Vuda Green beat Naviyago 19-18.

LRU representative Rakaso Naimawi said the two teams had been consistent from last season.

“It’s evident that both teams have to work hard next week before they face the next teams lined up to challenge. The score margins indicate that the matches were tough,” he said.

“We are working with what we have at the moment. Some of the referees travel from Ba and Nadi and if we don’t have enough then matches are rescheduled,” he said.

Vuda Green are expected to face QVS West in their next challenge of the Super Premier grade while Red Hill take on Natabua for the Premier Division.
