BEACHCOMBER was attending a workshop for two days at an embassy in Suva just in time for the Fijian men’s 7s second pool game at the Rio Olympics.
The game was to start at 9.30am and so was the workshop.
An outspoken colleague of Beachcomber at the workshop, in true Fijian style, humbly requested the facilitator who was a foreigner and did not know much about the game, if the workshop could start after Fiji’s game.
Surprisingly, the facilitator was interested in rugby sevens straight after that game, just by seeing how the diehard rugby Fijian fans cheered our boys on.
Only in Fiji!
