NEWCOMERS to the Punjas Digicel Netball Championship Nanukuloa hope to make a difference when they compete in the two-day event.

Coach Semiti Qalo said while the team was fairly new, they hoped to continuously improve their performance.

The Ra-based team will feature four teams at this year’s competition.

“We are ready. We wanted to get to the venue early. We are quite new and we just want to change the way we play to be up to par with other teams and we are looking forward to compete,” he said.

The team departed for Sigatoka yesterday in the hope to have the players well rested before the start of competition today.

The Punjas Digicel Netball Championships will be held at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.
