Update: 4:25PM SAUNAKA village in Nadi is a hive of activities as villagers and the family of Vatemo Ravouvou celebrate his achievements with the gold medal winning Fiji sevens rugby team.

Villagers have been walking around with the Fiji flag and banners honouring their son Ravouvou.

Ravouvou played an instrumental role in the sevens team’s gold medal win at the Rio Olympics in Brazil, where the Fijians defeated Great Britain 43-7 in the final of the sevens competition.
