Suva sets netball plan

THE biggest netball association in the country, Suva, has started its plans for the beginning of the businesshouse netball competition.

NewWorld Suva vice-president, Gabriele Qoro said they were looking for the first 24 teams to be registered with a payment of $250 as their registration fees.

And this year, they want to divide the teams into three categories depending on which category they would want to see their teams in.

He said this year they would be “introducing three different grades, where we will play teams according to their strengths so it will be good and fair to all.”

With teams to pay $250 as opposed to the $200 paid during the SNA club games, Qoro said teams would get to play quality netball.

“They will meet other organisations and have a friendly and social network amongst the teams. We will have an awards night at the end of the tournament which is always a great event,” Qoro said.

The competition would run for five weeks with teams to play seven games before the elimination stages in the quarter-finals.

“At the awards and presentation night, we will also acknowledge our teams with various prizes including, best dressed, most cheerful and loudest team, disciplined team, entertaining team and the best players in each grade, the best shooters, the best mid court players and the best defenders so that the players have something to be proud of, after the games.”

The businesshouse competition will begin on Thursday, September 15 and Qoro said fees can be deposited in their BSP account as per details below:
