Update: 5:32PM SOLAR Mamas from Papua New Guinea who attended the Barefoot Solar Engineers Pacific Retraining in Tailevu have been farewelled.

They were farewelled by the Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation following a two weeks training program to upskill Solar Mamas from seven Pacific Island countries, including PNG.

India’s High Commissioner to Fiji, Vishvas Sapkal described the solar electrification initiative as a strategy to fight climate change.
