Many Fijians have expressed serious outrage and concern towards a video of children sitting dangerously on the window ledge of a moving bus in Suva.

Authorities quizzed by this newspaper, however, have remained mum on the issue.

Last week The Fiji Times had sent questions to the Land Transport Authority (LTA), Minister for Transport, Fiji Bus Operators Association (FBOA) and the bus company concerned.

None have responded. In the footage, a number of teenagers could be seen hanging their head, arms and feet out the window while the bus was moving.

Last month, another video involving the same bus company, with children dangerously riding in the luggage compartment of the moving bus in Suva, also went viral.

It showed children collecting cones along the road as the bus was moving, and moving them around when the vehicle came to a standstill.

In an earlier interview, police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro told this newspaper officers would be visiting the company concerned as well as other bus operators in a bid to address the issue.
