‘Wonderful platform’

Knox Entertainment is honoured to host the inaugural Domo Vou Talei finalists for their first ever live performances at the Woodstock Uprising Music Festival, says organiser Ellana Bickerdike.

Ms Bickerdike said the Woodstock Uprising Music Festival was Fiji’s longest running and most popular music event and tickets were fast selling out.

“We are really excited that it’s all original music,” she said.

“The competition is a wonderful platform for the next generation of original artists in Fiji.

“It will help to put them on the map regionally and internationally when we got original music coming out of Fiji. “A real wonderful opportunity for the actual artists to build up their self-confidence.

“Putting them on the stage at Uprising is not normally an event they would build up to — so it’s a really fantastic opportunity they are getting to perform live on the big stage for the first time.”

Ms Bickerdike said tickets for the festival were almost sold out.

“It’s an amazing day there are a lot of food vendors coming. There will be specials on Woodstock and giveaways during the day.

“And you have got some of Fiji’s most talented performers on stage. “So there is no reason for people to not attend this premier festival.

“We are super grateful to all our partners and sponsors that have allowed us to make this platform happen.”

The Fiji Times is a sponsor of Domo Vou Talei along with the Australian High Commission, Westpac, Communications Fiji Ltd, Fiji Performing Rights Association and Knox Entertainment.
