The Lautoka City Council has been working closely with the Health Ministry to contain the current dengue outbreak.

The council said they were regularly updated with cases of dengue (line listing) from the ministry and that mosquito spraying using fogging machines is carried out in these hot spots.

Spraying has been conducted in the following affected areas:

• Field 40 (unsubdivided)
• Pompey & Oriana Place
• Captain Withers St
• Jinnu Rd
• Andhra Primary & College
• Yalandi St
• Guruwaiya St
•  Sakoor Pl
• Autar Pl
•  Jagai Pl
•  Sandalwood St
•  Sulua & Taj Pl
