New partners for accounting firm

Accounting firm KPMG Fiji has announced the appointment of two new partners to support its expansion and growth in the South Pacific.

“I am delighted to welcome Marissa Apted and Mohammed Khan to the partnership, both based in the KPMG Suva office,” KPMG Fiji managing partner Lisa Apted said.

“We have been on a forward pathway of growth since 2021 with the upgrade and expansion of KPMG’s Fiji office network and human resources.”

The new appointments bring the number of partners to nine and staff to 334, as of July 2024.

Mr Khan, who joins as KPMG’s audit and assurance partner, began his career with the firm 14 years ago and has experience working with clients both in Fiji and across the Pacific Island countries in the superannuation, telecommunication, banking, financial services, and manufacturing industries.

Ms Apted, who joined KPMG in Sdney in 2004 as a graduate accountant before moving to the KPMG Suva office in 2016, takes on her new roles as advisory partner.

Her areas of specialisation include risk consulting, people consulting and transaction advisory services for a range of clients across various industries in Fiji and the Pacific.

Their appointments are effective from July 1, 2024.

KPMG Fiji has been on a growth track since integrating with the KPMG Australian Enterprise practice in July 2021.
