NZ offers quality partnership

NEW Zealand companies taking part in the 2024 Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association’s HOTEC Trade Show later this week were all selected for their commitment to providing top quality products and services reliably and in partnership with Fijian providers.

The four New Zealand companies — Green Meadows Beef, Pals, Mercer Mushrooms and the NZ Avocado collective, and Magic Memories — will be showcasing their offerings on the New Zealand “Made with Care” pavilion.

At a reception in Suva on Tuesday evening ahead the expo in Denarau, New Zealand Trade Commissioner to the Pacific David Dewar said companies were committed to partnering with Fiji industry for the tourism sector’s success.

“Fiji’s tourism sector is absolutely world class,” Mr Dewar said.

“Its rebound from COVID has been phenomenal, repositioning Fiji as a premium destination of choice for Australian and New Zealand travellers as well as those from further afield.

“We know that tourists choose Fiji for its people.

“So that success is ultimately a testament to the efforts of everyone in this country responsible for giving tourists the world-famous ‘Bula’ welcome and ‘loloma’ throughout their stay.”

He said premium travellers were also increasingly demanding top-quality products to match the human experience.

“So we want to make sure we are bringing the best of New Zealand to partner with Fiji to deliver that.

“We also know from our discussions with the hotel industry that reliability of supply is a top priority, particularly as the industry continues to grow.

“Our ‘Made With Care’ campaign is built on three core values: ‘Kaitiakitanga’: caring for people, place and planet, now and for future generations. ‘Manaakitanga’: caring for others and showing kindness, generosity, support and respect; and

‘Ingenuity’: challenging the status quo with original and bold solutions.

“We are proud to be featuring four incredible New Zealand companies at HOTEC this week which embody these values.”

New Zealand has been a strong supporter of the event, with the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) being the gold sponsor of the two-day expo.
