The Education Ministry has warned that schools whose annual financial reports have not been endorsed at an annual general meeting will not receive term two grants.

In a circular dated March 25, Education Ministry permanent secretary Anjeela Jokhan informed heads of schools that deadlines for submitting the financial reports was March 31.

“As you will be aware, the School Management Handbook 2020 specifies the conditions required to be met before grants will be released to schools,” she said.

“I would like to remind you that the submission and approval of the Annual Financial Report and AGM minutes is required before term two grants will be released.”

Ms Jokhan urged all school heads to upload their school financial reports and AGM minutes on the ministry’s Fijian Education Management Information System.
