THE Fiji Meteorological Service is forecasting lots of rain across Fiji in the last two weeks of December.

In their early rainfall outlook released last week, the FMS stated chances were high of there being very wet conditions. This will be for areas in Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, Viwa, Kadavu, Matuku and Ono-i-Lau.

“There is a medium chance of very wet conditions across most of the Central and Eastern divisions, Nabouwalu, Labasa, Seaqaqa and Yasawa-i-Rara,” the outlook stated.

“There is a high chance of very wet conditions for the Western Division, Vatulele, Kadavu and Matuku.

“There is a medium chance of very wet conditions across most parts of the Central and Northern divisions, at Yasawa-i-Rara, Lakeba, northern and southern parts of the Lau Group.”

The FMS stated chances are very high for very wet conditions from December 2022 to February 2023 for Nadi, Lautoka, Ba and Ono-i-Lau.
