A MAN accused of raping his 11-year-old stepdaughter two years ago will know of his fate on September 11.

He  appeared for closing submissions before  Justice Waleen George in Suva on Wednesday for two counts of rape, one of sexual assault and one of criminal intimidation.

Court records show the accused was 43 years old when he allegedly committed the offences between January 1 and April 1, 2022.

He is also alleged to have unlawfully, with intent to cause harm, threatened to poison the victim with paraquat.

Lawyer Iqbal Khan is representing the accused while DPP prosecutor Pooja Mishra appeared for the State.
