A former accountant at the Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) and his partner were granted a $2000 non-cash bail bond today.

Pawan Deo and Subhashni Mudaliar appeared before senior Magistrate Sufia Hamza charged with a count each of conspiracy to defraud, obtaining financial advantage.

They are alleged to have dishonestly obtained $53,788.75 from FRU and fraudulently facilitated payments of $7,291.83 to Sports Supplies Limited in 2022

The duo has opted to represent themselves in the charges sanctioned by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption and the case has been adjourned to November 5.
