Lautoka and Nadroga rugby unions have united in their support for the Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) as the Flying Fijians’ head coach interview process unfolds.

The rugby communities from both regions have voiced their commitment to back the chosen candidate by the FRU.

Nadroga Rugby president Jiuta Waqavonovono, emphasised their willingness to support the FRU’s decision regarding the new coach.

“From Nadroga Rugby we will support the choice Fiji Rugby will make for our new coach, whatever decision they will make we will support because the right and wrong decision will be determined on the field,” Waqavonovono said.

He added that accountability would be essential if the Flying Fijians do not perform as expected.

Lautoka Rugby Union secretary Setariki Rakoto echoed these sentiments, expressing their hope that FRU selects the right person for the coaching role.

“We will support the decision FRU will make for our new head coach, we hope that FRU will select the right person for the job,” Rakoto explained.
