THE countdown is on for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua’s highly anticipated season opener against the ACT Brumbies on February 15 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

With less than a week to go, ticket demand has been strong, as fans prepare to pack the stands and rally behind their team.

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua’s general manager commercial Shane Hussein, confirmed the excitement surrounding the first home game of the year.

“There has been good interest in tickets by fans for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua vs Brumbies match on 15 February in Suva. The first match of the year in our biggest stadium and we’re hopeful we’ll have an epic crowd on hand to support their Drua,” Hussein said.

Adding to the significance of the match, this will be the first time the Brumbies play in Fiji, and they will be led by legendary former Wallabies fly-half Stephen Larkham as head coach.

“Larkham was a top-notch fly-half in his playing days and so was our head coach Glen Jackson. So, it’s really a battle of the former fly-halves as head coaches, which just adds to the excitement,” Hussein added.

As the clock ticks down, fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early to avoid disappointment. With an international-quality match on offer, February 15 promises to be an electric night of Super Rugby Pacific action in Suva.
