The Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s team is set to kick off their pre-season campaign with a trial match against the Brumbies Women in Canberra this Saturday.

Head Coach Ifereimi Rawaqa has named a 26-member squad, featuring a mix of experienced players and rising talent eager to make their mark.

Among the new faces in the squad are Isabella Koi, Alfreda Fisher, Josivini Naihamu, Alowesi Nakoci, and Imeri Nai, who will get their first taste of Drua rugby.

Additionally, two promising development players, Salaseini Railumu and Litiana Vueti, have earned their place in the main squad, reflecting the coaching staff’s confidence in their potential.

In the front row, the loosehead props will feature Bitila Tawake and Loraini Senivutu. Keleni Marawa and Isabella Koi will feature at hooker with Vika Matarugu, Tiana Robanakavu and Anasimeci Korovata at tighthead.

Asinate Serevi, Fuga Ofakimalino and Mereoni Nakesa are at lock, Nunia Daunimola will be at blindside flanker position partnering Alfreda Fisher who is at openside flanker. Karalaini Naisewa will wear the number 8 jersey.

The halfback features the likes of Kadavu duo Evivi Senikarivi and Kolora Lomani. Salanieta Kinita, Luisa Tisolo and Setaita Railumu will feature for the flyhalf position during the game.

The midfield will feature Josivini Naihamu and Alowesi Nakoci, while returning Drua Original Vitalina Naikore and Merewairita Neivosa will manage the wings. Both fullbacks Repeka Tove and Imeri Nai will play in this pre-season trial match.
