THE Feast of Christ the King mass is marked by traditional Catholics around the world to proclaim in an effective manner, Christ’s royalty over individuals.
The Feast of Christ the King also describes the qualities of Christ’s Kingdom and many traditional Catholics observe this special event on the liturgical calendar which falls closely to Thanksgiving and Advent.
Traditional Catholic members in Suva gathered at the St Michael’s Chapel in Laucala Beach to celebrate the Solemnity of Christ the King.
Traditional Catholic Joseph Kacilala said the Feast of Christ was observed annually by the traditional Catholics and brought many church members together.
“It is a time in which we remember our Lord Jesus Christ, because a lot of Christians have forgotten that Christ is also King here on earth, so the event is a reminder to believers of Christ’s royalty,” Mr Kacilala said.
