Spinning Around the Sun band is an all girl band that consists of six very easygoing band members that have a passion for music.

Their very vibrant personalities describe the style of music they love and play. The band sees the La Fête de la Musique as a good opportunity to experience as a group their first time live performance during the music festival.

The band highlighted that being part of the Alliance Française music festival was a great opportunity. “It is our first performance as a band at a music festival and we are very excited about it,” the band said.

“We wanted to take part because we really enjoy music and wanted the opportunity to play out in public as a band.

“Our musical background is varied, this being a newly formed group with a few of us taking up new instruments recently as to round out the ensemble.

“We think it will be a fun night and a very memorable experience for us,” the band said. The band would be accompanied by other amateur musicians and artists during the music festival. The music festival focuses on giving young musicians out there a chance to showcase their talents to the public. It also gives experienced musicians a chance to play with other musicians and to build strong networks with each other.
