Avinash Ram of Nadi was the winner of Shop N Save Rooster Chickens Easter promotion, walking away with $10,000 last week Thursday.

The owner of Volts Mechanical Services said he planned to use the cash to help his family through the pandemic.

“I am feeling very proud that I won it, I could not believe that I received a call from Shop N Save,” he said.

“First of all I will clear off our land debts and the rest over will utilise it in our family and because it’s quite a hard time for us to be in the COVID situation.

“Life is quite hard as we are staying in Nadi and most of the businesses is closed down and no jobs for a long period of time and short hours.”

He said because of the pandemic his business was affected as well and it was quite challenging for them to operate.

The promotion was said to have started in March and ended in April with the major draw being done in May as the handover of the prize money was done on Thursday 30 September.
