THE Outrigger Enterprises Group has appointed Biu Waqaniburotu as the human resources manager at Castaway Island Resort in the Mamanucas.

Outrigger’s commitment to staff development at a holiday retreat many regard as an iconic property in Fiji is reflected in Mr Waqaniburotu’s experience in the public service and private sector. He has eight years of experience as a labour officer with the Department of Labour and Industrial Relations and five years as the HR manager at The Warwick Fiji under his belt.

He also worked as manager of support services for Captain Cook Cruises and is actively involved in the Fiji Hotels Tourism Association’s human resources committee.

In his new role, Mr Waqaniburotu will review Castaway’s human relations program.
