Update:6:39PM NEWLY appointed Australian High Commissioner to Fiji Margret Eileen Twomey today presented her credentials to President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau at Government House.
Ms Twomey who replaces Glen Miles has served as ambassador to the Russian Federation and ambassador to East Timor.
She started her career as desk officer, East Europe Analyst in 1989 after which she joined the Australian High Commission in Fiji as deputy high commissioner in 2002.
Ms Twomey, who speaks French and Russian, has represented her country in diplomatic missions in Russia and East Timor in various capacities.
