Australian retailer Lowes Menswear, in partnership with Vuvalle Outsourcing, has donated over 26,000 pairs of industrial work pants, valued at $2 million, to Fiji’s rural farm workers, particularly those in the sugar industry.
The handover ceremony in Vitogo yesterday was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Manoa Kamikamica and Minister for Sugar Industry Charan Jeath Singh.
“This is more than just clothing—it’s a practical show of respect for the vital contribution of Fiji’s rural workforce, where the heart of Fiji beats strongest,” said Miles Blok, Co-founder of Vuvalle Outsourcing.
Lowes’ CEO, Linda Penn, highlighted the company’s long-standing connection with Fiji.
“Our eight-year relationship through our call centre operations inspires us to give back. This donation reflects our dedication to improving lives across Fiji’s communities,” she said.
