The establishment of the Pacific Specialist Healthcare Hospital in Nadi is an example of broader-based investment opportunities in Fiji, says the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association chief executive Fantasha Lockington.

She uttered this following the recent announcement of a multi-million dollar five-storey specialist hospital in Nadi by investor Parvish Kumar.

“The Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association (FHTA) welcomes the recent news on the upcoming opening of the Pacific Specialist Healthcare Hospital,” Ms Lockington said.

“Such investment provides an important addition for locals as well as being able to offer closer accessibility to the wider Pacific region to specialized medical services.

“With the right investment support and relevant infrastructure, Fiji can grow its medical and sports tourism opportunities, especially where room inventory already exists.”

The Pacific Specialist Healthcare Hospital has a branch in Suva’ Foster Street and plans are underway to open a third multi-storey organ transplant and advanced surgical hospital in Toorak, Suva.

“We commend the investor and director Mr Parvish Kumar for his vision to improve specialist healthcare in Fiji and the region and wish them every success.”

The five-storey facility located just beside the Queens Highway is expected to open soon after the Health Ministry gives the approval.

The Pacific Specialist Healthcare Hospital is located on 1 Legalega Rd, right opposite Tokatoka Resort and a one-minute drive from the Nadi International Airport.
