Update: 3:42PM MORE than 16 Fijian artists will get a chance to showcase their talent at the week-long Procera Music Carnival Festival that will be held at Syria Park in Nausori this weekend.
The carnival, which in the past have drawn and showcased many talents in the country, aims to attract more audience who are music enthusiasts in the country.
Procera director Mohammed Akif said the company was supportive and promoted the talents of local artists in Fiji.
“We have always been there for the artist by providing them a platform to showcase their talents and encourage them to make a living through their hard work,” Mr Akif said.
“This is our ninth year of bringing the carnival and the response every year we get from the artists and public is overwhelming.
“We have organised gospel, youth, island and Indian nights at the festival so people will always have something to look forward to.
“This year, there is an increase in the number of stalls and we are encouraging the public to come in with their family members.”
