Archbishop: Mataca legacy offers us food for thought

Update: 11:14AM ARCHBISHOP Peter Loy Chong in delivering his eulogy says the late Archbishop Emeritus Petero Mataca called for leaders that saw, judged and acted more than ever which he felt was a relevant response.

“As we search for visionary leaders in elections, the legacy of Petero Mataca offers us much food for thought,” the archbishop said

“People like Petero Mataca do not just die and are forgotten, that certainly will never happen for His Grace but nothing of what they had done or achieved will be lost, rather stored away and will make up that crown of righteousness, reserved for them by the Lord.

“We farewell you with the words of the Bible, ‘well done good and faithful servant; you have been faithful of a few things, I will put you in charge of many things, come and share your master’s happiness’,” Archbishop Chong said.
