ANZ aid package

ANZ Bank anno­unced an assistance package for Samoa, Am­erican Samoa and Tonga after devastation by Severe Tropic­al Cyclone Gita.

The bank gave $NZ100,000 ($F148,1­83) to the Red Cr­oss Pacific Disaster Fund.

“These communities face major challenges in its aftermath and it will take a long time to recover,” said ANZ New Zealand chief executive officer David Hisco.

“We’re there rea­dy to offer support and waiving fees on international money transfers and other services.”
