THE ANZ Bank has announced a gold sponsorship of $100,000 that will assist the Reserve Bank of Fiji (RBF) to host the 2016 Global Policy Forum (GPF) for the Alliance for Financial Inclusion.
This is the first time Fiji will host the event with over 500 participants, including policy makers, governors of central banks, CEOs of international organisations and the private sector who are expected to converge on Denarau Island from September 7-9.
“As part of this financial inclusion in Fiji, we’re happy to be part of this event. We’re committed to financial inclusion where we have done a lot of work through our MoneyMinded program which we started, years ago,” said ANZ acting CEO Saud Minam.
“We trained 5000 people who are certified and credited to providing information and training to the people. MoneyMinded program is making sure that people understand the basics — how they can read their financial statements, the debits and the credits etc,” he said.
