ANIMALS Fiji is keen to work with other animal welfare organisations to establish a strategic plan that could assist Government in creating better legislation for animal welfare.
Animals Fiji co-founder Casey Quimby said this was one way to improve animal welfare in the country.
“We have a good base legislation but education to both the public and the enforcers on what the laws are and how to apply them,” Ms Quimby said.
“Animals Fiji plans on working with our country animal welfare partners and international organisations that have experience in such training to put a strategic plan in place to assist government to do this.”
