BSP Financial Group (Fiji) Pte Ltd (BSP) yesterday announced its partnership with American Express that would enable BSP EFTPoS merchant terminals to accept American Express Cards.

This aligns with the bank’s commitment to stay at the forefront of digital payments and meet the needs of merchants, local customers, and visiting American Express Card Members, BSP said in a statement.

“This service enhancement opens up new opportunities for our EFTPoS merchants to serve a wider customer base,” BSP country head Haroon Ali said.

“This means that the American Express Cards are now accepted on all of BSP’s 2000-plus merchant EFTPoS terminals that accept credit cards.”

The partnership, Mr Ali added, also reflected BSP’s dedication to innovation and service excellence.

American Express vice president Global Network Services Asia & South Pacific, Divya Jain said Fiji’s popularity as a holiday destination for their card members worldwide made it important to give them a seamless experience.

“Extending our partnership with BSP is a strategic step in this direction,” Ms Jain said.

“In addition, merchants in Fiji will be able to access our higher-spending American Express Card Members.”

BSP said it was collaborating with its EFTPoS merchants to ensure swift, secure and convenient payment solutions for local customers and international visitors.
